Dear Families,
In the past few weeks of our Earth Science class, we’ve made our own models of Earth, taken a look at extreme weather events, how they are created, and how we can prepare for them, before doing some experiments to make our own! We made tornados in a jar (and dealt with a flood when one spilled!)
You can make your own at home by filling a jar 3/4 full of water, adding a teaspoon of vinegar, and then experimenting with different “debris” in the jar. We used silver streamers for lightning, cotton balls for clouds, and food coloring!
Stay tuned for more!
All the best,
Rafi, Curated Care teacher
