Dear Families,
In the past few weeks of our Dazzling Discoveries class, we’ve explored gravity, and Newton’s first law of motion: that an object will remain still unless an outside force acts on it, by making our own spinning tops. We had a ton of fun decorating and learning to spin them, and you can continue the fun by making these at home! Just cut out a circle from a paper plate, decorate the bottom, and cut a hole to place a penny in the center of the circle. Use the penny as a handle to spin the top!
We’re still tracking the weather as the seasons change, and we’ve made wind catchers to continue exploring the world around us. In the coming weeks, we will experiment with how colors are made and combined, and how we can do our part to help the earth thrive.
That’s all for now. Take care!
Rafi, Curated Care Teacher
