Dear Families,

We are having a blast exploring different dinosaurs this semester in Dino Explorers! We begin each class with reading a random fun dinosaur fact picked by a student, before learning about different categories of dinosaurs that all our favorite, T. Rex, Triceratops, and Velociraptors fit into.

Each week, we read a dinosaur book that focuses on different behavioral negatives and positives which the kids are loving. Last week, they requested I read it three times in a row! The students each have a ‘field journal’ where they have been designing their own dinosaurs that match the different categories which they will be bringing home at the end of the semester, and each week I hope you have enjoyed their various Dino crafts.

It is such a joy to watch all of their creativity in the personal choices each child makes with their projects! We end class with explorations where the students transform into dinosaurs, or create their environments. It has been wonderful to see their imaginations growing as we try different scenes and creatures on! We will continue discovering and exploring in the weeks to come as we talk about sauropods, flying reptiles (not actually ‘Dinosaurs’!) and more!
