Dear Families,

Our Astronomy Adventures class at Sacred Heart explores the basic foundations of space, astronauts, and our solar system while also giving the students creative liberty through fun hands on crafts!

Students have been learning facts about planets, asteroids, and more from “My First Book of Planets” by Bruce Betts after which they complete a craft based on what we learned.

Some crafts we’ve done so far include: glitter asteroid belts, yarn saturns, 3D paper spaceships, oil pastel galaxies, and DIY UFOs!

Next steps for Astronomy Adventures will be continuing to learn more about the other planets in our solar system (i.e. Neptune, Mars, Jupiter) with more fun crafts to come!
